We leveraged our extensive Enterprise Project & Portfolio Management knowledge to develop the first portfolio management solution launched in 1998 as the UMT Portfolio Manager™. This solution was acquired by Microsoft from UMT in 2006 and rebranded as the Microsoft Office Project Portfolio Server™. During the acquisition, UMT developers and UMT leaders joined Microsoft to continue to develop the project portfolio management capabilities of the Microsoft EPM solution. 2010 Microsoft Project Server 2010 incorporates the Portfolio Management capabilities of PPS into a comprehensive enterprise project and portfolio management platform.
