Brian Feder is a Senior Vice President with UMT Consulting Group and is the Practice Lead for UMT in the Southwest region of the USA. He has extensive experience helping his client organizations maximize and optimize the value of their project and application portfolios. He is a proven subject matter expert on developing and implementing Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and Application Portfolio Management (APM) methodologies, governance practices, processes, analyses and tools. This expertise extends to project management practices, including improving his clients’ work, schedule, resource and financial management processes. He has written several Whitepapers and Case Studies, and is a frequent presenter at conferences, webinars and universities.
Brian earned his MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business with an academic concentration consisting of double majors in Corporate Finance and Information Systems. This combination, coupled with his Engineering degree from the University of Florida, has provided him with a unique academic skill set. He has also supplemented his education with 15+ years of post-undergraduate professional career experience and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
His breadth of expertise in strategy consulting and international project/program/portfolio management has been proven in industries including: financial services, pharmaceutical, medical devices, engineering, architecture, industrial manufacturing, publishing, natural gas & nuclear energies, and state government.
Prior to UMT, Brian managed an international team that created 2D & 3D CAD models driven by logic-based configuration algorithms for distribution via website and DVD. He also developed globally recognized Codes and Standards for the Mechanical Engineering industry by managing committees of the industry’s subject matter experts.
